Voodoo staff V.S Voodoo doll. What is best.

The staff is way better because you can use it at a range and when the enemy comes up you can just run away again, but you have to charge your casts and your spells might fizzle. But the thing i hate about the doll is that you have to attune people. You have to walk up and touch people with the doll before you can attack while enemies can attune you a planet away. Thats just not right
