It shouldn't be more than 10,000 gold to retrain your skills. I've reallocated my sailing skills almost 10 times (the most recent time being just after the latest updates, when they restored windcatcher) and the fee doesn't go past 10,000. On the subject of the thread, it's best to keep only one point in each skill until the weapon is mastered. As for explosive, I'd say it's a toss-up. I put only 1 point in it and I'm satisfied with that. I would never put more than one point in explosive. Eventually you'll want to buff up fury but for now, I'd say keep your skills as weak as possible.
