I'm running the game just fine with the very same processor (Pentium 4, 2.80Ghz), so that's not the issue. But I have 1 GB of RAM, and I also have an nVidia 256MB graphics card. It appears that your system technically doesn't have a graphics card, it has what's called "Intel Extreme Graphics", a graphics chipset that's built-in to the motherboard. I'm not an expert on such matters, and I don't know whether others are successfully running "Pirates" with that chipset, but my guess is that your lack of a "real" graphics card is probably the issue.

I played it again with gamma all the way down (whats gamma anyway?) and there was much less to almost no lag. I don't know if it was because the server was empty or if that was the key. I guess I"ll see how it goes when I play it again tonight after work.
As far as gig? Isn't it a half gig with 512 mb Ram? |

Yes, gamma lags my pc too. I turned it off since it really doesnt matter. Also Vandelay are you talking about an intergrade graphics card? I have that, pirates works fine.

Yes, it's the same as an "integrated" graphics card. Glad to hear that you got it working.
