Alright, but try to keep the elements (including the pirates) in the last post out as much as possible (other than the opening of course) to make for a real series of cliffhangers. Lessee here (it's hard to be every other post--is this story all about me?):

League found himself with a grenade that seemed to have an affinity with him: This will definetly turn up later, he thought. Maybe I'll just sell it to Maria, and cheat her out of it later. Regardless, it was just one of the oddball objects on the ship he had commodered. Why would the pirate I was told to steal this ship from have an elephant onboard? he wondered.
