Grenades: Oh, the disappointment

I'm a lowly level 3 in grenades. I can't aim very well with them, and I've almost blown myself up several times

After all that running around to get the grenades, I went out to test them - Ooof, is about all I can say. I'm pretty sure it's me not using em right, but you'd think tossing a grenade close to an enemy would take it out. The way I aim these things, I could take out every rocky area there is...my grenades seek rocks and cliffs but not undead whatever-they-may-be.

Any advice for grenade use would be appreciated...

When I first got them, they kept freezing in mid-air. But somehow, after about 20 minutes, they worked great. I'm up to lvl 7 now, and they can cause quite a bit of damage!

It might be lag that's doing this freezing, or the memory leak. It just suddenly stopped freezing in about 20 minutes...

Less are freezing now. For me, the easiest way to level them up is to run around until some weaker enemies that follow form a mob. Then just throw a few grenades. Can take out quite a few that way.
Can't wait to level it up so I can bomb the parade of Veterans at Kingshead. That'll be some serious points right there.

Haha, I've had them disappear when they hit the ground...and nothing happens but a few seconds later I hear a water "sploosh" sound.

My trouble..is the enemy runs at me...or when I throw one at an enemy it realizes I'm there and runs at me so my gernades misses... a lot..

and I dunno I suck at gernades lol

Have you reported the bug about them freezing in midair? Because I did, and they logged into my pirate and said they couldn't reproduce the problem, so it must be my hardware/software or no longer an issue. I've been telling them I'm not the only one with this problem, so it would be nice if everyone having the problem would report it so it gets fixed faster.

They only freeze when 2 players or more try to use them at the same time on enemies.

When you are there on your own, it works fine. Game just can't handle more than 1 person using them in the same neighbourhood I guess!

And why they heck can grenades damage yourself and enemies, but not other pirates? Strange.... like how they can still damage you miles away when you throw them.

Not true.
I used them at Fort Dundee, alone, and they still froze. Unless there was someone off the charts, lurking in the shadows, trying to help.

But yeah, maybe it is my computer.

I've got them up to level 7 now. It's a very slow process.

Don't write in to PotCO - grenades are bugged, but not every time. You're doing something wrong.

Whenever you're moving and try to throw it without Long Volley the grenade will get stuck in midair. Take it from me, my grenades are Level 8. Just got em yesterday.

Don't write in for a bug report? GEEZE WTH are we paying for then? If we don't write in then they think nothing is wrong. And you were in beta holy cow!!!

Not if you don't move while you're throwing them. Of course PotCO knows grenades are bugged! But you can avoid the glitch if you stand still while you throw without Long Volley. I don't want to start a flame war, so case closed.

As I said before, you can still get the bug if you are standing still. It happened while I was hitting fly traps and my friend was throwing at the same time. Neither of us was moving.

I'm not fuming "bad", I'm just trying to encourage other people to submit bug reports. If everyone assumes someone else will do it, then Disney doesn't realize how much of a problem it is. And apparently I'm not the only one who is frustrated with this bug. Whether or not Disney knows grenades are bugged, if they don't get the bug reports they can't figure out WHY they are bugged and fix it - they just think it's a problem on my end.

I've never had the glitch when standing still AND using Long Volley.
PotCO already knows about the problem obviously. I never said you shouldn't report it, I just wanted to mention that they probably already know.

Um... I'm doing something wrong because my grenades get stuck in the air? Strange game design then... Are you kidding??? And they can get stuck in the air even when you're not moving. Last night I was hitting fly traps with them so I wouldn't have to move, and when my friend would throw a grenade first, mine would get stuck in the air, and vice versa. What exactly are we doing wrong? Trying to use the same weapon on enemies near each other - heaven forbid! Anyone having this bug PLEASE report it - it won't get fixed if I'm the only one reporting it because then they think *I'm* doing something wrong... just like this guy.
