Kraken? - Page 5 - Pirates of the Caribbean Online Fansite & Forums

It seems like D is going in an entirely different direction than what releasing the Kraken would involve. I mean, they started down this whole invasion thing and being able to fight against Jolly Roger and now he's invading Tortuga. The Kraken is Davy Jones pet, not Jolly Roger's, and Davy Jones isn't even in the game at all, but Jolly Roger is. So I think that the Kraken maybe isn't coming at all, or at least there's a lot more story to tell before he does come. I don't see how the Kraken suddenly showing up would have anything to do with what Jolly Roger is doing with invasions and stuff.

Also, maybe I don't get it or something, but what's so exciting about the Kraken anyway that everybody wants it sooo bad? Everyone talks like it's going to be the best thing to ever happen to POTCO, but shooting tentacles doesn't really sound that fun to me... maybe I'm wrong.

Well, there could be a chance that Big D is going to make it like this:

Jolly Roger somehow turns the Kraken onto his side, into an UNDEAD Kraken. Thus, making it do Jolly Roger's evil bidding. That's what I would think they would do.

Maybe not undead because that doesnt really evolve around the movie. but the kraken turning to jolly would be good.

Notice in the picture, it was taken by a camera, so it would be hard to change it.

He probolly got them from the phaze filels. The phaze files have a buntch of pictures of that in them, but can't be opend without installing panda 3D ( The thing Disney uses to make POTCO. )

Also when where did the pirate on the pic get the navy looking shirt? HMM? COuld be a hint of new clothing

Also if it was on test than everyone would be saying THE KRAKEN IS ON TEST YAYZ!

I noticed the "pirate" had a spanish sash on him, along with some strange pants and a set of unique boots. As Mark said above me, I think this is a hint of new clothing... as we all know in one of the dev diaries, it said "players will dress up as navy people and sneak into forts" or something like that, well after watching the videos on dxd again, I have noticed some images there are coming out... I saw some skeletons fighting pirates on tortuga coming up from the water... (invasions) (hint hint). The kraken is still being "modified" as I have heard from GM edward kidd.

Aye, also there's one of those side quests on Port Royal that involes getting some clothes from Navy Cadets/Guards and such, stealing their coats, boots or whatever, and then putting on those clothes as a disguise to get into Fort Charles and steal a treasure ( I believe it was some sort of Coin or Medallion ). This could also hint in new clothing or, as William Swordcastle mentioned, "players dressing up as Navy Cadets and sneaking into forts."

Well it is this the one there working on right now or is it the Call Of The Kraken model?

Cause they look the same and i think this is the old kraken
