All I know is that I was on the Team Battle leaderboard a few days ago and was very happy about it. I have since decided that PvP is a "waste" of time, since there are no rewards and no benifits. It is fun, but so is the rest of the game and in the rest of the game I can lvl, work on my skillz and progress in the storyline.

It's wierd, i was in second place with 299 ships sunk when I checked it lastnight after it updated, and i looked again just a little bit ago, and now i'm in 7th with only 206 sunk. Did the other 93 ships unsink themselves?

That could be like buildings in TT were, if the building comes back you lose the points for it.
You a have to keep sinking them or they really do "unsink" themselves.
