Elizabeth and Will's story is over. If there are sequels to the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy, they will focus only on Jack, the Pearl, Barbossa, and new pirates. Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom have said that they do not want to be in any POTC sequels and that they wish to see the series evolve on its own now.

Besides, nobody likes Will or Elizabeth. By the 3rd movie, people were only going to see Jack.

Wow where do I start on this?

First I will state I would LOVE to see a fourth.

Second I would like to disagree with ANYONE who thinks that there should not be one!

Third to those specifically who think the third left no openings: Did you even watch the end of the third movie at all?

They clearly left story openings with the whole fountain of youth thing. Will Jack or Barbossa get there first? Also as others have said, I don't think Will and Elizabeth's story is over either. I agree that there could be a part of the story where Elizabeth has to try to break Will's curse. Also, did everyone foget about Tia/Calypso? They could work something in where Elizabeth needs to recapture Calypso and make her human again so that she could get Calypso/Tia to help her break Will's curse (maybe Elizabeth needs the fountain of youth to make Calypso human again?). I just think there are a few different ways they could go with the fountain of youth thing as the main storyline and different ways to work the will & elizabeth stuff in as well.

Also I would like to state that Johnny Depp's kids even love him being Jack Sparrow (he even came to his kids birthday party as Jack Sparrow once) so if it came down to it I'm sure he would do a 4th just to see the joy on his kids faces. Not to mention that Johnny will always be the one and only Jack Sparrow as everyone knows so if they did a fourth they would have to listen to his ideas like they did in the third. It would be easy money for him.

I thought and heard something about a fourth movie, since the last part before the credits seemed like a begining (Jack Sparrow and Barbossa's map of the fountain of youth thing) So I think there might be and I heard it won't be made or start to be made until 2009 or 2010 to give the actors and actresses a rest since they made 2 and three at the same time.

More like to give the writers a rest. Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley won't be returning - only Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally, and other assorted actors who play crew members will return. However, I expect that we will see some interesting new characters in Pirates 4, played by famous actors.

Here's my feeling.....

I feel there will one way or another be an addition to the story. Because the end of the 3rd movie, with Will-Will Jr (XD)-Elizabeth in the credit scene and Jack in the final scene, it's setting up another movie.

Just my opinion.

Hmm... how is their story over? Orlando Bloom might not be in the next movie, but Will is out sailing the seas. And don't forget about their son. He's gotta figure in the storyline somehow. I'm sure there's going to be a whole fountain of youth thing. Then you have the whole Elizabeth/Sparrow/Will triangle.

And how do you know nobody likes Will or Elizabeth?
