I looked at your newsletter again SB and have to say that I was very impressed.
I didn't agree with your opinion on everything, but the articles were interesting to read, anyway. The layout looks GREAT, and you have a knack for engaging the reader (gettting and keeping their attention). At first I just glanced through it and, like I said, it looked great. I then went back to the top and read the first article. I actually only saw 2 mistakes (if there was a third one, I missed it somewhere). Unfortunately, they were both in the very first article. If that had been my first time reading your newsletter, I might not have read any further. Not because there were mistakes, but because I would have thought (subconsciously) that if you didnt take the time to correct them, that you probably didnt take the time to evaluate what you were talking about enough, or have the experience, to be able to offer a strong, credible opinion. However, I was impressed enough with the layout and features (Pirate Soduku... cool!), that I might have continued reading anyway. I really hope you dont think I just want to be critical (Keep in mind that I'm an adult, a bit of a perfectionist, and perhaps a little more critical than the average reader). But, if I wasn't impressed with your talent and creativity, and didn't think you had the desire and potential to really do something with them, then I wouldn't even have replied. That's exactly why I replied - because I think you have a tremendous amount of of potential and would like to see you go somewhere with it. Perhaps one day you could be writning newsletters for Disney. Like I said before, keep it up!

I think I see where you're going with them all being in the first article, but according to Allure, there was only one in that one (not including the one we can't find).
PS: Did you know you ran the tPr SB, I thought I did. ^^

One of the first rules of thumb in communication is to make sure you adress people with the correct name. My post was intended for Jack. But, the mistake probably makes my point- There will be some now who wont be as likely to trust and want to hear what I have to say, and all because I wasn't careful enough to look for and correct the mistake...Quote:

Good luck to all of you. I look forward to reading the next newsletter!

Thanks Plunderin Mom, one reason that I decided to be a editor is that I am more...relaxed and not so "OMG I got 5 more days to get this in to the Report!".
Now I only have to worry if someone else gets it in on time. EDIT: and I am better at punctuation than some other people here...lol

I'd like it better if it were in a different font. I find the current font to be a little hard to read. Maybe it's because they're all basically upper-case letters, just some are a little smaller than others.
Then again, I'm an old guy, maybe I just need reading glasses.

I've also told you I only saw 3 when I briefly skimmed it. I never said I sat down and nit picked it word for word.
When I sit down and read it again the first thing I notice is at the top of the page Where it says "December 2007 Edition, Unnoficial Copyright 2007" It should be "Unofficial" In the first article you're missing a word in the sentence, "Some people think that it was never meant to released and was only an idea" You're missing a "be" in there Then also in that same sentence, "I think that in there supposed rush..." should be their There is a mistake in Pirateahoys in the sentence "Run around in circles after you're enemy is attuned." It should be your Also in the same article, "And extrememly hard to shoot with a pistol" Extremely is spelled wrong Also in the same article, "Good luck on you're adventures in the Molten Cave.." It should be "your" In the Pirates Review: Sea Battle, " You actually have to work to be a good captian..." It should be "captain" SB in your article I'm not sure if you wanted to be this way or if you were missing a word, "And so we go." I wasn't sure if you were missing "So here we go." I suck at punctuation so lol, I didn't even bother to figure that one out. ![]() I'm not perfect and I'm not saying I found every single spelling error, and granted when I try to communicate something I'm not often good at it. So I'll just let Plunder Mom say it because sometimes people understand it better when it comes from someone else.

well alright, then that should've been addressed to everyone, as I assumed when you talked about it at tPr you were referring directly to me. I only c&p from the PMs I recieved.
And the part with the captain bit, I have no idea what the correct spelling is. One some things its captian, others its captain, and on toontown they've even spelled it capitan. I assure you though, I've discussed and reread our arguement, and I think you'll be happy to know that I've set up and editorial staff now and that we will try to make it better in the future. (PS: I don't think anyone is good at puncuation )

Allure, I meant it to be "And so we go." Kinda like "Moving on" or some sort of old time, piratey time, phrase. Ok? Just to let you know.
