Well I like the open trade part of your idea and would hope that drops of clothing and wepons would be included. That being said I play another game from time to time and they have open trading. This can lead to full screens of useless chat and people trying to scam other players. The pirate world like ours is full of all kinds of people so while most are nice honest folks you will end up with some who do not play well with others. So I'm not sure its a good idea when you figure in the younger players.

So in short while I like your ideas I also see problems that could come along with them.

P.S I always though it would be cool to have pets such as a parrot,monkey,snake,alligator etc etc

er then maybe another idea might work... how about a certain place where all this'Open Trade' happens, where probably scamming or whatever would happen, you know like Runescape or something, like a Barter House thing...
