Moro1212, no one makes you read the news people post here? You choose to read
about the events, right? I know i try to post as many clues as possible, for there are people who are not able to get all the information the GMs tell us. If one doesn't want to "ruin" their game experience because this site offers you clues, then i friendly suggest that you simply don't continue reading these posts. ![]() Are the GMs necessary? Absolutely. Bringing the Pirates Online Game Staff near the actual players is a great way for them to show us how much they appreciate us, and the other way around. You can learn alot from the GMs if you concentrate on listening to them. If one really tried to search for them i am sure they would find one. Ideal servers (mostly the A Oceans) are the best places to start looking! I personally am a bit tired of hearing about the Kraken. Yes, Disney said they would release the Kraken before next year, but when dealing with Online Games things can pop up unexpected. For instance, did you notice that they changed nearly the whole game during this year? Meaning the new islands, new towns, new sky, new characters*, so basically the whole game interface. That must have taken alot of money and time to accomplish. One also must remember that Pirates of the Caribbean Online is a very young game compared to many others, and the developing process is still rolling. No new story chapter? I think that is not entirely true. The ghosts and Jolly Roger are the base of our new story chapter, which quests will hopefully begin before the end of this year, but most likely during the first months of 2010. Whatever happens, Moro1212, i hope you are able to give the Disney Staff the required time to truly develop the game into the point we are all able to enjoy it even more than now. I am truly sorry if my postings from the GM events have somehow affected your enjoyment of the game. I hope you find a few GMs yourself and feel the thrill when they reveal something more about the upcoming events! ![]() Sincerely, Jeanne Stormcutter *meaning the appereance and the way of movement |

Also, where did it say the second story quest would involve the ghosts and jolly roger? How can they be the base of the story line if we have no idea what it's even about? For all we know they want the second story quest to be about Davy Jones. I'm sorry, but unless Disney tells us, "The second story quest will follow the ghosts and Jolly Roger" I can't agree with that. |

At least in my books! Or did i understand your question correctly? Disney has just introduced us the new main enemy, Jolly Roger, which we are to defeat. Wouldn't it be a bit odd to bring in for example Davy Jones, since he obviously doesn't really fit in at all? From what i've learned from the Disney Movies they always have a reason for everything. Of course we can not tell exactly what the new story quest will be about, but why would Disney introduce Roger IF he had nothing to do with the future events? //Edit: Also, i never said Jolly Roger and the ghosts would be our next story chapter. I said they are the base of the new one, an introduction chapter, to the new story chapter, which content we can't be sure of yet

Disney can do whatever they want with the game, and if they do anything the way they do in Toontown then the invasions will be here forever. That's even after a possible story quest to defeat Jolly Roger comes. If you compare what they do in toontown and pirates, it's very similar. It would only make since for them to keep the invasions forever so any incoming members can experience them. They don't take away invasions on toontown so I think they'll keep them, too. Also, I agree that new events involving Roger may occur. Just like the new invasions that will be on Tortuga. It would make sense to have Roger be the next sotry quest with the additions, however, I think it could be anything. It's more likely(at least it looks that way) that the new story quest will involve jolly roger. In my opinion, I would like to see Jolly Roger AND Davy Jones be part of the next story quest. Mainly Davy Jones, but hopefully something to the likes of us joining Davy Jones and fighting Jolly Roger. Then in later quests we betray him, get rid of him, and join Jolly Roger. This could be like the french and spanish quests, only bigger. This is a THEORY, and for all we know they could do something else completely different. I for one know that whatever they do, it won't be strange. Hopefully Barbossa will get "killed" off and we need to save him or something and then fight the Kraken. Well... I'm trailing off now, but you get the idea. Disney can do whatever they want with the game and as long as it's not getting rid of it, I'm happy. I for one will just wait and see what happens. As long as the second story quest comes out within the next... whatever, I'm happy. But I'm getting tired of waiting, and toontown only took this long releasing BBHQ. The others took about a year and a half. I wonder what's taking them so long to releasing something that doesn't take too long. |

I do wonder what all the mad desire for the Kraken is about. Is that what is going to save this game? A giant squid? Or would an entirely new story be better? And from the looks of things, we are getting closer! As for the GM events. I don't seek them out, have never stumbled across one and don't really care either way. They have never had anything to say that is going to change the way I play the game. I DO get some interesting tidbits here and that's cool with me. But I play, maybe, 5 hours a week? Am I going to stake out a random server in the hopes of getting 500 gold from a ghost? Not when I have maxed out gold... Don't get me wrong. The GM events are just fine. But they are nothing to get excited or upset about if you miss one. Trust me. |
