The game used to be like that, before they fixed it so that everyone made it over (I liked it the original way better, as you could always have support from a heavy damage causing cannon).

I have to admit that even I miss the bug that would sometimes leave a crew mate or 2 behind when boarding. Was nice to know that sometimes you would be the one left on the cannon and not the ones landing in a vipers nest of red leveled officers on the Collosus.
