My friend Angel managed to hit Level 11 and mentioned things like Scattershot or something similiar that fired multiple grapeshot style rounds.

I've not managed to get beyond 6 myself so far, but what a ride!

What is the reward? Rep? Gold? On the new mini game?

Can't wait to see the new dolls! Hope daggers and staves are next!

I have made it up to level 13. There is a scattershot ammo. After that is a powder keg ammo (you get 9 shots for 500 bucks, not really worth it). After the powder keg there is a super strong shot that if I am remembering correctly gives you 50 shots. (I can't remember the real name). This one is well worth buying. You can shoot three shots before reloading and they are about ten times stronger than round shot.

As for a reward, at the end you get gold. You also get some cannon based loot throughout the game.

They are not items for the minigame, as far as I know, they're for sailing - although you don't only get ship stuff. I've gotten a bayonet or two.

One quick question, though, where on earth is the Tortuga Cannon Defense person? I have yet to find him.

The loots i keep getting are either CAnnon Drafts or Rusty Bayonet

Cannon drafts and cannon rams for me. I haven't gotten anything else so that is where my "cannon based loot" assumption came from. My apologies on that. As for dolls, I have gotten one common doll so far but haven't checked the shop to see if it is a new type or one you can buy anyway. I have not gotten any rare dolls.
