Additional Break Attunement
Ahoy mates, ran across this nifty little trick the other day. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you.
Begin an attack on a voodoo enemy with your dagger. As we know, certain dagger attacks break voodoo attunement. All you need to do is use one--try throw dirt. Once you've done that, switch to sword. NOW when you attack (at least for a while) you will hit several attacks that break attunement--with your sword! After enough time switch on back to dagger, toss some more dirt, switch back to sword and VOILA! More break attunement. Give it a try and let me know.

this has happened to me while attacking timothy, i think it's because in the game we can only have one status problem/helper.
when i used a ghastly visage before attacking an enemy, i would keep changing back and forth because the enemy was slowing me down and ghastly visage would come back and go away. |

Nice find Bart. It works for all swords (at least when I tried a few minutes ago it did), and it also worked when I tried it with a gun (it only did it once, compared to the 3-4 times the sword causes this to occur after breaking attunement).

It works for almost any attack in the game. Even attuning with a doll causes this to happen. Last edited by Sven Osymthe; 07-07-2010 at 05:40 AM.. |

Interesting. This has ONLY happened to me after switching from dagger.

If you wait a few seconds after throwing a dagger (or dirt), then it should work after you use the daggers combo. I'm not positive about it working for every attack, but I got it to work for every weapon in one way or another, and since even attuning the enemy caused this, I am assuming any skill will.
