wouldn't the british navy be in britan and wouldn't the east india trading company be in the east not west indies

The British Navy is in the Caribbean to safeguard Britain's interests there. The EITC expanded into the Caribbean in the 2nd movie for the sake of "Good Business". It had a monopoly over trade in India and the East Indies.
