The higher the attack, the faster the kill, the less the reps.
Okay. But what's the point? If you kill faster, you can kill more. If you can do more damage in less time, you can kill higher level mobs that otherwise would kill you first.

One of my guildmates loves to board higher level ships, which often leaves us scrambling for our lives. Last night I was being chased by a higer level hired gun who was throwing knives at me while I used my doll. Higher damage with poke, swarm, scorch and curse was the only reason he died and not me. There's more fun in that kind of challenge, IMO.

It just depends on how you want to receive your gains. Kill a few enemies and get a lot of rep or kill tons of enemies to get the same rep. I would rather kill one enemies and spend the small amount of extra time to get higher gains and get 100rep. Then kill the same enemies with maxed skills and get 5-10rep.

Right now i am level 30, all my weapons are at lvl 20 except for staff which is at lvl 10 right now. I'm pulling 45rep off of lvl 23's with the staff right now. My weapons have anywhere from 12 -17 free points right now. Doing it this way also allows you to spend your points to better efficiency so you can spend them on higher level skills rather then maxing the lower ranking ones that ive seen many people do. I may switch to your method of leveling when all my weapons are at level 20, im not sure yet.

I would rather switch to higher level enemies instead. You take the same amount of time you're taking to kill the trivial mobs. I can still get good rep even with a partner (which greatly reduces down time because you can heal each other when needed) and I think its more fun to challenge higher level mobs. It's also more profitable.

I uderstand the problem that some of the lower level skills are not worth spending points on since there is a limit. But I aslo think thats more of a flaw in the game... we should be able to do a quest that effectively forgets some skills so we can learn others instead.

Aye this is a time when i wish skill point reset was possible. If anything allow us to reset once. I'll defiantly concede both methods certainly work. I have been considering changing to the other method once i get all my weapon skills to 20. Right now i just need 7 more levels in staff and ill be ready to decide. My other thought is that once i reach 20 in my weapons i will raise the weapons that are hard to raise/ weapons i don't like to 25 and then spend my points and switch methods.
