My alternate self that lives in that other dimension that I have been in comes back to find the pirate world in ruins. My alternate self (just gonna say "me" from now on to make things easier) uses Sorcerer powers to repair it. I find you, and then get you drunk on rum. Then you spill the location of the sword. I give you to Davy Jones so you can join his crew forever, and there is no escape from Jones! I then find the lost sword (you gave me the location) and take it. Since you all know that I saved your lives by repairing the pirate world, you decide that I deserve the lost sword, and nobody wants or tries to take it from me.
