I also will not guild people who approach me out of the blue asking, begging or demanding to be guilded. I won't guild someone until I've had a chance to spend some time with them in game, get to know them a bit and see how they interact with other players. Most of the good guilds who have survived and prospered in this game have seniority policies in place regarding officer promotions.
