I would have to agree, just get you fishing lvl to 15, very easy to do, and you will get over 180 for sharks. And the only way you can loose some gold is if you loose your lure, but that is only 100 gold. And you can get some treasure too. So you can get a fish that is 200 gold and then get treasure that is worth 50. I think it is the best way to make some gold.

Agreed, fishing is a great way to make gold. Sure, it's a bit to the boring side but if you've got time then it's easy to do. I've only been playing for 10 days and I've already got my War Galleon, the master fishing pole and I still have 30k gold. Money is VERY easy to make in this game.
