The tale of the Bladebeard

Though just an introduction for the rest of the Pearl quest, I found it important so here it is... Jack Sparrow's intro!


Chapter 3 : Jack Sparrow

The trip of about 20 Naval Miles to get to Tortuga went well for Sam, as he didn’t encouter any Navy or EITC ship. Somebody might have cleaned it up before his passage in the region. Jack Sparrow? Perhaps. Barbossa told Sam that he could find his rival in the Faithful Bride, as well as his hearty, Joshamee Gibbs. Therefore, Sam headed to the Faithful Bride tavern and talked with the notorious Jack Sparrow.
- Don’t ye happen to have a sister by the name of Ethel mate? Ah whatever.
Captain Jack Sparrow at yer service, mate!
And this gentleman here that needs no presentation is, what’s yer name?
- Hum... John, well, many call me Carver. Carver answered.
- Well, we were talking about the important matter of my next drink. Oh, ye went here for yer free trip to Port Royal, aren’t ye? Well, ye know what we are after nay? Well, we’re after the Black Pearl, savvy? Now, go see Joshamee Gibbs and tell him I sent ye.

Sam didn’t have to do much to have a free trip aboard the Pearl. Well, free is what he first thought. He then turned in the direction of Mr Gibbs. This last was easy to identify. Just follow the disgusting smell in the tavern and search for the guy with many jars of rum on his table. Then, ye will find out Joshamee. Gibbs told Sam that to board the Pearl, he would be owed to accomplish incredible acts of bravery as a pirate. The ship shall be heavily guarded and to simply get near it would be a marvelous strength piece. And don’t think of going out of port without the valorous crew of the vessel. « Here, start with ole Carver, ye’ll need him in the crew. Come back to me when he will have accepted to join Jack aboard the Pearl. I must tell ye it won’t be easy to get those mates back on. Good luck. »
