I'd love to see your evidence. Every basic I've met, high level or not, wants to be unlimited. Anyways, it would give us something to talk about in the tavern. you cant scare noobs about RC when they have been there 5 times. Its a great idea.

I highly disagree.

I want to be able to get Catherine onto Tormenta/Darkhart/ El Sudoron. However, Emily is level 36. I wouldn't classify Catherine as a "newbie." Don't forget it could be someone's 2nd or 3rd pirate.

And if a level 5 pirate wants to do some sailing around, visit the islands? I'm good with that. Just don't yell at me where I'm standing training staff to help you.

Usually if I see a level 10-15 on say, Tormenta, I'll ask them if they're just exploring, or if they want to get rep. If they're just exploring, I'll usually warn them that the enemies will KO them fairly quickly, so be careful. If they were told you can get quick rep there, I'll usually invite them to a crew and ask if they would like to stand back and heal me, or if they want to use a sword, I ask them to please wait till the enemy is about 3/4 of the way down, so they don't have a problem killing it.

If you see a smaller person where it's a better idea for them not to be there yet, you can whisper to them nicely and warn them that they should be a bit bigger before they attack whatever enemy you're attacking, so that they don't get KO'ed. Don't say "get out of here you noob" or something along those lines, that'll just make them angry

That's a good point Catherine...well played...it very well could be someone like that looking to level fast...but if so, by now they should very well know the common courtesies among other Pirates...

For me, I knew certain places were hard and I had to level before going to them...granted I did try to explore but soon learned the hard way, either by getting sunk by high level ships or by the enemies themselves once on the island...which is what I think those that are on their first Pirate should do...

It honestly is a "Catch 22"...but I do know in other MMO's that do have limitations where only higher level characters can progress...it's not a bad idea to have that in POTCO as well...don't go straight to Boardwalk, learn the ropes...otherwise one could level up so fast that when they do go to the lesser leveled enemies they'll complain that it's too easy...
