Ok first of all, you have no idea if it will come or not. The kraken WILL come. They keep to there promises. There redoing it, its just there working on other things right now, there trying to figure out how they can add it back into the game without messing up the storyline, so for now its blackbeard.

And besides, they showed them working on it with python panda 3D on Disney 365, the commercial on disney channel ( i looked it up on you tube ). Thats evidence that there making it. They want to make this one BEAST looking thing then the weird old model before!

So people who do want the kraken, keep the faith. Let them take there time ,lvl up and be prepared for it. Because it will come.

I hate to sound like a ranter, but I will have to say this. Where is your evidence of this? They probably promised us the Kraken about... what, a year after the game was released? POTCO is now almost 3 1/2 years old, and we have not seen it. If they can customize a whole new weapon inventory, Infamy, Invasions, Treasure Fleets, Raven's Cove, and all this other stuff we have seen, then why can't they make The Kraken? As Skirata said, the Developers said it isn't coming, and that commercial is years old. Something happened to the Kraken coding, or the Developers decided to work on other things. As I said in my previous post, it is probably not coming, and if it is, it is coming faaaaaar in the future. If it comes, great! But don't get so obsessed over this one little thing that may never come that you ignore all this other stuff. Its not even that great anyway. There are loads of other updates that can be released that are even better. Keep hoping all you want, but I highly doubt that it will come, and I personally don't care either way. There are countless other things that the Developers can work on that will be as good as or better than a silly over-sized piece of calamari.

Honestly, I don't even see why we are still posting on this thread. Most of us know the answer to if The Kraken is coming or not. The Kraken won't come. I'm fairly certain the Developers are working on other things right now.

Can you give me a link to this dev diary that your talking about? if its true, i think that is kinda STUIPID! and to be honest i dont give if ship of the line does come out i dont even have enough gold right now to buy a spazzed out war frigate! and im lvl 45 with a bunch of stuff mastered.
