Looking back on this, it's extremely unusual. I bet this will cause some attention for the developers considering it's on a highly populated server.
I wouldn't suggest selling it as stated above, just because if it could happen once, it could happen again. Since it's still there, it's going to be important for developers to figure out why it's happening and how to prevent it from happening. Hey, you should try to bribe them into replacing your War Frigate with a Ship of the Line.
