Yes......it would be nice to be able to own 1 of everything if you wanted to. Just my 2 cents.

The Brig resembles the Black Pearl and the QAR. I hope there are more ship types than just the Brig, though.

As far as customization, the only thing I see are sail colors, hull colors and rigging colors. I do hope that there's more than just that when the update comes, although I won't be upset if that's all we get.
