On one of the networking sites Jeb mentioned that he's shooting for September 8th to be the 1.8 update. Unfortunately, there won't be NPCs according to Notch and him because they're still a work in progress, although they plan on releasing NPC villages with the update.
I won't give my hopes up but next weekend will probably be great for those of us that don't have any plans. |
