Chapter 3
The extremely belated fight scene
The evil pirate jumped up with sword in hand, planning to flatten Roger into the ground. He dodged, then countered with a jab. The enemy deflected it, swept roger off his feet, and kicked him into a wall. Then he just walked slowly, taking his time, knowing Roger couldn’t do anything but lie on the ground. Uhm, guys, saving me right about now would be really great....... As if he could hear Roger, the unknown pirate hurled Firebombs, Smoke bombs, and regular bombs at the enemy, setting him on fire and blinding him, while Stealthy shot multiple loads using Quick Shot. Why does he not look hurt? Roger wondered. For a good reason, too. Despite all the effort put into hurting him, then enemy was barely scratched. Kind of like jumping off a cliff and the only damage done is a paper cut size cut on your back. Roger picked himself up, and decided that brute force wouldn’t work, so he drew a saber in place of Thunderspine. Stealthy, thinking the same thing, traded his blunderbuss for dual pistols.
“Guess I’ll have to change, too.” The bomber sad kind of sadly. He packed his bombs and instead took out a voodoo doll. He attuned Roger and Stealthy, and stood back and let them do the fighting while he healed them. Using this strategy, the trio was eventually able to wear the enemy down. He collapsed in exhaustion, panting.
“You’ve brought this on yourselves, time to stop playing.” He muttered, and he got up, raised his sword, and plunged it into the ground. Moments later, Roger could feel his life draining, the strength that made him defeat the enemy, all gone. The other two felt similar effects. How did he manage to do that? It’s almost as if....... he used the Life Drain skill! This final thought filled Roger with dread, and he looked horror stricken. The pirate just smiled.
“You get it now, don’t you?” The pirate asked rhetorically, malice in his eyes.
“Time for a little fun.” and suddenly the trio was on fire, cursed, blinded, they had just about every negative status effect on them. Then, they were attacked by what felt like millions of bees. With the final thought: I wonder why this guy doesn’t have a girlfriend...... Roger was knocked unconscious.
