Well, I hope POTCO takes this opportunity to make some different monsters. Lava monsters that fling globs of lava at you, or just touch you. No weapons required. Perhaps you should lose some HP each time you hit them just from the heat of being too close to red lava.
Cannibals would be good. But how could you justify being thrown in jail, when what they really want to do is eat you? Hopefully the "jail" on the cannibal island will be tied to a post over a fire, and you have to find a way to get off while being groggy. (Is that where the "grog" comes in? The natives will take your grog and you can escape while they're passed out?) Crimson Rose

That wouldn't make anyone happy, especially if they didn't know and then found out when their sword got destroyed. Maybe it just makes it useless (weapon shards, think Lord of the Rings) until you go to a blacksmith and get it reforged?
