Sorry to hear that Cannonfury. Wish your grandma the very best.
Del, that was some night. I took a few screens capturing certain moments. It's not necessary to post them. Yours suffice.
The turnout wasn't as large as the last one I attended, but it was better behaved. Unfortunately, not well enough to let you make your big speech. Instead, the short, simple, straight-to-the-point version was priceless: Skip the formality and go straight to the war plan. LOL! Beautiful. And off we went...
Incredible how each of our ships made the perfect ring around Outcast. Surprising still, as the rest of the night would turn out, I didn't lag so much, nor did I ever disconnect. From my vantage point, it seemed as though we did have enough ships to reach Cutthroat. We still had a number of ships around Outcast. Maybe some had trouble loading onto their own ship. idk. We were still in single formation when I saw the gathering of ships on the right. Then, I suppose your call to break formation was followed through.
It was still an awesome sight to witness. I was expecting all sorts of technical issues, but none happened. Even when we reached up to yours, waiting for the signal to charge into Padres, the game ran smoothly.
Lag began after landing. Only happened in certain areas where there was a high concentration of ppl present. It's typical of course. And for those of you who are wondering where I am in that crowd, I'm the guy who shares the same color as Barney the famous purple dinosaur. Of all the colors that potion gave me, I got that one! But it's all good because its meaningful to my guild since we sang all his tunes back in the day. lol, I just noticed that I don't have his green belly but I sure have the green hair to match! Too funny.
In the end, after going through that entire maze craze from Lava Gorge to Catacombs to Beckett's Quarry and through El Sudoron and finally at Darkhart, the best moment actually happened after it ended. Some Notoriety 14 walked in and exclaimed how there were so many lvl 50s there [i.e., in front of Darkhart]. Most were actually gone and the ones who were there were mostly AFK. Only two showed interest in fighting Darkhart still. His statement though peaked my interest because I detected that he has had some bad experience with lvl 50 UAs. I said nothing. I simply carried on with fighting DH and he joined in. Eventually, he got KO'd. He mouthed off how he was weak and all. Not a whole lot. Just a tad.
Why do I bring this up? Because what was the event about? Friendship. No one there came to his aid. No one there talked in fact. Not judging; only recounting what happened here. So I did what came natural to me: do the right thing.
So, after I finished off DH and the other skeleton, I revived him. He thanked me and confirmed my first instinct. He thought all lvl 50s were mean to guys as small as himself. We all know that isn't so, but we also know there are one too many who are. Anyway, we fought some more together and talked a bit. He reminded me of myself and how it was when I first started the game as a Basic. No sooner do I remember that he asked me about it. He asked if I was lvl 14 when I got membership. I told him I was over 20 which surprised him. I quickly clarified how that happened long ago.
We fought some more until I had to go. My comp was finally having its heartburn. Hopefully, my act of kindness did much to show him that there are good lvl 50s in the Caribbean. I believe it has. For those who attended, for those who couldn't, make that night an every day affair. Make it a point to do the right thing. We all stand to gain more when we do. All evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Be one of those good men, one of those good women, who does something. The future is in your hands.
Good night it was Del. Thank you for the invite. Happy Birthday Partners 'N' Crime! And a hearty yo-ho unto you all who love this game as much as I do!
