game is continuously lagging, but i have an excellent computer

I've got a MacBook Pro laptop, 2.33GHz core duo, maxed out to 3Gigs of RAM with all the latest software updates for OSX.5, 35Gigs free hard drive space, with a Radeon x1600/256M VRAM card.

Game graphics are set at medium.

And nothing else is running except of course the finder.

And my tested broadband speed is 3Mbps+

Any chance we can base servers on the east coast? Or upgrade the existing ones to better handle the player load?

Did you check your upload speed as well? Everyone seems to go blind looking at the download speeds thier ISP offers, when the upload speed is generally the most important factor in gaming.

I dont believe connectivity is causing most lag on the game. It is more likely server lag, at least it seems that way to me from the situations it seems to occur for me.

Keep in mind POF is not POTCO, so we have no control the servers being mentioned. Hopefully the POTCO developers and technical staff frequent our boards here, and will see your suggestions. Only mentioning this, because it appears your asking the boards for these upgrades, instead of suggesting them to POTCO developers who might be reading.
