Enemy Ship Bug/glitch

When I do this glitch I always grapple it, to ensure that after it sinks the glitch still works. I've seen and heard of enemy ships attacking again once the flagship sinks.

I'll have to try that! Although, I've been using this bug to lvl up alot and have never been fired upon once bugged unless I drive through a battle .
