If done right, you can earn xp rather easily. There are low level (14) EITC Corvette Flagships that are easy to disable. Then it's a quick jog to the Dreadnaughts and Harbingers for the royal chests.

If im after gold/royal chests.. its a quicker jog, straight to the dread, and harbinger. I can fill my ship quickly, no need to waste time giltching just to have to do it again.

Now if you cant take those big ships without glitching, well thats another story.
(which should start with an unable crew hunting smaller prey)
