I would say that in most cases, those seen shooting the grappling hook are probably doing so by accident because the cannon was left with it loaded last (from boarding a ship).

Most that would make use of this guide, would likely already be accustomed to interacting and working with the crew, etc. As far as reminding people how to be polite, etc. I dont think this guide would be a place for that. That comes down to behavior which no guide is going to change. Most behaving poorly are those that dont take the time to learn/interact like those here, reading the guide would.

Intriguing, going to give some of this information a shot... so to speak

To be honest I just found out about grenades and Grapple Hook
while gathering data for this chart. Took almost two weeks to
complete and because my old pirates had maxed sailing and
cannon i had to work on my new one to get to level 20 to
get the data for Fury.
To Edward:
Throwing nades at flagship captain always work for me.
What did you find out?
And yes firing Grapple Hook 25 times give us 100 rep for cannon.
Try 24 and we get 96 rep. Better let other take down the mast first
so your cannon rep only from Grapple Hook if you want to test it.

Thank you again for your fantastic guide. My last question was stated very poorly: does each person firing broadsides get sailing rep, or only the last person sailing, when it sinks, or what. That is, does taking turns on the helm share the sailing rep?

I'll let you know if I hit a flagship captain with grenades. My long volleys have never hit; I'd wait for the flagship to "be in position" ready for boarding before throwing...were you doing something different, or am I that bad a shot with grenades?

Yes, Edward, taking turn on the helm share the sailing rep. Each person who fired broadside get their own rep and not just the last one or the ship owner.

Throwing nade at flagship captain is a bit tricky because the target ship sway around. We have to time it right while at the same time keep the long volley charge not too high or too low to reach it. In the pic below my position is higher than the flagship captain so i just charge the long volley around 50%.

I usually miss a lot here so i prefer grape shot but nade is fun.

Wow. Yes, I am just that bad of a shot with grenades - I was able to hit a captain. One. :-)

How do you calculate hull points of level 3 or 4 bulwark or ferret? Count up the damage you do, one cannonball at a time?

I just have to say, again, WOW what a great guide. It hasn't been said enough yet.

Seriously how'd you get 300 rep?
You can barely get 200 with a big crew.

A full crew could definately do 300 (with a 50% bonus) 100 cannon + 50% bonus + 100 sailing + 50% bonus = 300

Throwing grenades could up that even more being a 3rd weapon and its attacks to utilize.

The picture reflects a person getting 100 pts for cannon, 100pts for sailing, and 100pts for grenades. Quite doable.

The most rep i've ever gotten with a crew was 150 so I was thinknig this had to be an edit.
Wow I think I need to get a crew and try that.
