The POTCO PvP is so glitch-oriented it isn't funny. Why do Tortuga/Abassa idiots do the skeleton glitch, still? Not for infinite ammo - they wouldn't be there. Not for leaderboard ranking - the total kills can only count up to one per day. So what's left? The sadistic pleasure of crashing other people's game.

That's the only reason to PvP glitch - to crash other people's game. The suggestion here is to expand that to all areas of the game. Brilliant.

No way. The last thing I would want are 10 newbs hacking missed combos at me when I'm trying to get ammo or whatever, although I'll always be able to kill them with one Flaming Skull though, heh heh.
It would also cause too much lag, and going to an ideal server to look for a crew or whatever would become a complete waste of time.

However I dont think Savvy's scenario will come to play, as I believe that you are "safe" if inside (ie in ammo shop, tavern, etc).

i agree with Mlratto and swash there should be an island for pvp but not on every island.

Well like I stated originally, it would not be a good thing watching over your back constantly. I have been there done that, even to the point everything you have is lost on the ground when you are killed for a opponent to choose and take.

As for sake of argument, those saying it would be terrible when they are supposedly helping others, I don't buy that. If they were helping I would consider them in a crew, and void of pvp?

There are just too many factors though I could see as problems. Take crew out of the picture and just wanting to try to heal, where is the conversion of pvp, versus using heal for doll etc.

Things like ships as you use cannon and take sails down and switch to working broadsides, I can feel the want for a little pay back. Watching your screen as a ship uses full sail, ramming speed, and by three other ships to race up and shoot that one you are fighting gets annoying.

It only takes figuring out a few things, and you get a heck of a lot more rep than trying to do this trying to jump what other players are working on. For instance the latest developments in the game making a galleon a way better choice then say a War Galleon. Using this hitting for more damage, less attacks, and better rep.

I don't think pvp should be unlimited. I mean when you first start i bet there would be tons of people out there wacking down every new person that comes. Plus it would be hard to quest with anyone being able to kill you. Oh and if you go to a far out island and are killed by another person, it would be frustrating.

I say YES! however maybe to certain servers only but other than that YES! it would only be for 1 day and if you are standing around doing nothing i guess you are dead....

i think a pvp server would be nice but no doll attacks can be used on it only cure and heal I hate PvPing someone only to have em attune me and run in circles i see that as noting short of cheating

Some want it, but "only to attack those stealing thier kills".
Some want it, but only if there are certain PvP rules implemented.

Ladies and Gentleman, I hate to alarm you, but this is NOT a PvP game!!!!

It has PvP options to satisfy those that like that type of gaming, but this game is not a PvP game. Point, Blank, and period.

It would simply ruin it beyond imagine.

If you want PvP all the time, there are 1000's of games at your disposal, lets not discusse ruining our pirate game that way.
Maybe a PvP island, that would be ok, but really, we already have one somewhat when you join PvP as it is. They just added SvS to the game providing more PvP environment. Hope they focus on more content for those of use that despise PvP.

I am afraid I am going to have to disagree with you here, specially that this is not a pvp game.

I think one thing has been a result of us loosing cannon damage and that is svs pvp. I just went through some more testing, and see basically EVERYTHING in pvp has been reduced in damage by half on test. This I believe due to upcoming Halloween event.

As I myself would like to see more content and such things, my biggest arguments on this continued downgrades is only for one thing, PVP.

As some of these things stand right now, we are heading to a notoriety upgrade, that would mean what? It would mean getting to level 50 with incremental upgrades in damage to bring us right back to where we were before a bunch of downgrades.

Then what more downgrades for pvp?

I think this entire game has gone only to the balance of pvp and basic characters versus unlimited, or we would be going forward, not backwards in these things.
