Well...
For palyer Q and A someone asked about ship customization and they said they will, in the future, do so.
Someone even asked about pets and they said it was a good idea.
If a game doesn't listen to players ideas then it wont be as much fun.
(If players have an idea it's usually good and players play the game more than the devs so they could/should listen to what we want.)
