It does it on urchinfists too. The reason it does that is because it wants to stay a good range from you so it doesn't hurt itself. Disney needs to fix this..yes it is annoying.

yeah it happens when you use Brawl on the cutlass too, they don't freeze at all! they just keep on moving
 annoying things.
