OK how can you do this?
Like how can you make a sig site?
One for Partners In Crime, what do we need to do?

Andrew,

I'm also gonna ask a noob type question, but part of my question may provide your answer.

First, you need someone to do the art work. GothixGraphics did our badge, and Ange did the signature.
Then, whoever does the art has to post it where others can get to it. Like their own website, or photobucket.
Then, each invivdual who wants to customize it, has to make their own copy, and reupload it so that it can be linked back to here.

Now to my question,
Ange, did you change both sizes, or only the large size, and if you did change both, can you provide both links?

To upload your sig graphic to POF...

Proceed to the Gallery, you can upload images to your own "gallery" folder/profile, and link to them in your sig.
The image hosting/posting guide outlines this, the same method can be used for your sig. The section regarding image hosting "Gallery" covers it.

Now... if you mean just host your sig graphic of choice. You can edit/create your graphic image with your preferred graphic editor, upload to POF gallery, and use the link provided to insert the image in your accounts signature.

Do you mean similar to the guildlaunch signature you have now? (or like mine) where stats can be updated on a site/database and automatically displayed on a sig image?

The way I do it requires a webhost/server that supports:
PHP (image processing libraries must be available).
MySQL or some form of database to store data.
Ability to create a world writeable folder for caching information.
External linking (its hosted on your webserver, not POF).
Ample Bandwidth/traffic at its disposal (can generate alot of requests/bandwidth on your host/server).

You are also going to have to have a webmaster with the know how.
Knowledge of PHP, MySql, etc and how to put it together is simple for some of us pirates with propellers on our heads, but not to everyone.

Ok, I just looked, but you should be able to upload an image there in the
Edit Signature part of your UserCP.

The following should be below the box you type in your signature.
Its possible the "Skin" you have selected for POF is causing a conflict (ill check and see if its an issue with the new skin).

The upload from another www/url may not work. Recommend uploading from your computer option.
