OK,,,,

I thought that I had put a lot of time and effort into making this happen. I never realized that the hardest part would be AFTER the event, trying to score it!

I apologize everyone, but it will probably be a couple of days till I get the final tally and can announce the winners. Am working on it tho.

Things I learned:

I deliberately made the list oversized, thought that it would give people the opportunity to chose which objectives to go after. Instead, Everyone tried to do the entire list!

The time period was too long,,5 hours is a long time to try to keep track of everyone and everything.

You guys and girls, ROCK!!! Even though I didn't do anything other than keep track of all of you for 5 hours, I had a ball. I tried to level staff or another weapon, thinking I would have some downtime, but never really got the chance. You kept me busy the entire time.

Thank-you all for everything you said and have posted in the other thread. I will plan another one of these, but will do it even better, now that I know the quirks and how to run an on-line scavenger hunt.

A few small items that I can say, even tho the scoring isn't done yet:

As far as I can tell, TOES was the only group that remembered that "Jack" is the monkeys name!

The Drunken Pirates, "stumbled" on Lars before the second clue was even given, and was the first group to find him. Good eyes Rachel.

Every Crew got more done than I had thought you would. (This is part of the reason that scoring is so time consuming.)

If nothing else, this was a great way to get a few more people into the headset experience. I tried to get people to use them in the old TEC, and had a hard time doing so. If you all think headsets are something you would like to do more often, I may break out my Ventrilo server again. Although, YIM voice chat seemed to work for almost everyone.


Lastly, I wonder who the Mods were here on POF when all of a sudden hundreds of screenshots were being posted? To them, Thank-you for your work!

Yeah...the timeframe was huge! It was good to negate any waiting around for teleporting teammates and disconnects though. I got in trouble for ignoring my wife for 5 hours...

note: We have a pic of Jack the Monkey in our pictures as well (Lost and Confused...my post)...see Barbossa's pic (rules don't say that has to be a seperate pic...lol)
