Definitely grenades. Haven't had any issues with any other weapons. Grenades are just a pain in the butt.

Siege charge can be mighty useful though... if I'm leveling my little pirate and someone comes and steals my rep... SIEGE CHARGE! They usually leave real quick-like.

But other than that- yeah, they're stinkin' useless.

The most useful skill with grenades is long volley... and how long you take to throw them controls how far they go... so, thanks.. but.. eh <shrug>

i want to agree with you haters but i sorda like nades cause they have several uses:

1. you can throw them at enemy ships.
2. you can throw them at regular enemies.
3. General Darkhart is useless against nades so you can get mega rep and not lose a single health point.

now think this over. And i think there is guide to the darkhart thing.

Definitely the pistol. I can't use it on Navy or EITC (and why I still don't comprehend), so it is a much more limited than any other weapon. Anything I can do with pistol I can do with dagger or staff.

It's the code, you can't ask questions, you must obey. The code is law. You don't want Cap'n Teage (sp) to see you shooting a Navy officer.

Anyway, I chose grenades, also. I just can't get the hang of controlling them. As for the pistol, it is one of my favorite weapons (doll or staff is my favorite, cutlass is neutral.) because with aim, I can eaisily kill lvl. 20- skelies and creatures.

I vote none of the above.

Cutlass: I like it. Easy to use, fun to get the special skils
Pistol: I like it. Once you get the ability to hold down the trigger to power it up, it is very usefull and fun to use once you are high level.
Doll: I like it. Great for healing friends/guildies. Love the life drain.
Dagger: I like it. Easy to use, and the throwing skills are fun.
Grenade: I like them. It's fun to find new uses for them such as boarding flag ships and taking out NPC's with them, or standing in El Sud at the first Stump, and lobbing one down to get teh second Stump by the river to come to you.
Staff: I like it. Great for multiple close in enemies.

Pistol I find boring and hard to level, and grenades, they are hard to level, require constant reloads, and are, in my opinion, very boring.
The other weapons I find very useful and powerful when the right skill points are applied to the right skills.

Grenades are annoying.. not only because they take so long to get and master but they are also hard to aim with. On top of that you are ALWAYS buying more grenades. There isn't any unlimited grenade like their is for the pistol and cannon. Very costly....
