Quite frankly, I need help with privateering quests.

I'm up to the point where I need to do 25,000 in damage to both French and Spanish ships, with cannons, without sinking. The problem is, I STINK at cannons. I can barely hit the broadside of a ship. I have to be right next to them to where you can see the people on the ship to be able to hit anything. And those few times I do end up finding a crew using Lookout, they're usually low level people and sink a lot.

I don't want to bad mouth my guild cause they had always been super helpful and nice in the past, but ever since the leader decided to take a break from Pirates, I'm usually the only one on.

It would be really nice if someone here would help me. My character's name is Jami The Songbird. I want to get these quests done already.
