Ah yes she does
BUT ... LOL we have an additional cannoneer to add PLEASE add O'Cherrie to the list thank you Dhestroyer/Darius MacVane Phil as you may or may not know a lot of the debate over the Voice Chat was due to people complaining about not able to talk to their crew due to being crewed with the captains. Now you have some worried about non crew members as in friends tping onto the ships. While some has suggested to shut the ship completely down to keep unauthorized friends from popping onboard to keep from getting disqualified I see a problem with it if the ships crew isn't crewed. When the crew needs to get ammo then the captain will be forced to open the permissions window during battle to let crew members on and off by opening the ship. Then he will have to remember to shut it back down. I feel that this will hamper play. I do have a suggestion though – 1. Let the captains crew their crew... 2. Have the captains FRIEND the observers/judges so they can tp to the ships 3. Give the instructions to EVERYONE present.. 4. Have two observers/judges - one for each side 5. Crew the Observers/judge together and they can relay info to EVERYONE via privateer chat on point #3 I think it would be better to tell everyone the rules... I had 4 peeps whispering me wanting to know what was going on while the rules were given and ships assigned -- that made it extremely difficult for me to follow what was being said in crew, between the whispers and beach chatter the chat scrolled too fast. Now you will have people spamming the beach rule chat -- Solution -- if they speak before the rules are completely given out --- disqualify them from the competition. Also after the rules are delivered allow a question and answer period for clarification purposes. Just a suggestion that may organized this a bit better for everyone involved. Plus I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time in putting on this event. Last edited by Sarah; 08-11-2009 at 10:58 AM.. Reason: double post |

Darius my friend,
I appreciate the input and am very much considring the option for captains crewing their shipmates. That seemed to be the biggest issue and I need to address that. On second hand , in reference to suggestion #3 , here are some updated inserts to the rules for this week. Captains: It is your responsibilty to make sure that your crew knows and understands the rules of this event. Captains and crew will be held accountable for any violations of TvT rules. Captains: If you dont not stay in the water during the whole event till the final gun , your score will not be tallyed. A screen shot of the standings is takin at the end of the event , so , if you have ported prior to the final minutes , there will be no record of you even being there at all. Once again, thank you for idea's and support. Thank you for wanting to get the most out of this event and taking the time out to make these great observations and suggestions. Phil DePane |

D thats exactly what i was going to suggest or i have another solution get 20 observers one for each ship and let 6 people on at all times and the captain has there own crew but crews the observer to. The observer can stay on the ship the whole time. Thats my suggestion.

To simplify the matter of chatter on beaches, the instant an unknown pirate begins a lengthy litany, I hit ignore. I do not think it fair for participants to spend precious time dealing with verbose pirates. With regards to friending observers, organizers, crew, et al, this presents a difficult process for long time pirates. I prefer not to delete a friend who is coming back when the Kracken hits POTC.The boot feature for privateer ships may be an easier solution for unwanted guests. One solution for contestants who leave early may be to have observer ships hit the sea if a contestant leaves. This would prevent svs openings for any pirate to join. In order to keep observer ships from becoming targets, they could quickly sail outside the tournament area.

Bess i understand about the boot feature but if some one tp's to you while u have a observer on the boat you are out of luck. You can friend them or crew them but if u friend them just delete them after the match. Also if the observers are on there own ships near tormenta than how will be able to observe. I just sayin..

White Zombie is adding Vito Corleone, Will Goldwalker, Cookie Galore, and Stinky as sub gunners.
He is aware that they are listed as sub gunners on another ship as well. Don't know which team they're going to commit to, but they will be told to stick with one team once they join. Zombie will tell them that ship hopping will result in disqualification.
