Same. Took a pic of them during the Feats of Strength competition. Freaked me out until I realized they weren't in my race, hahaha.

Well, the Notoriety level bar doesn't stop at Lv. 50, so why should they stop at Lv. 50? =P

I saw a lv 50 whose card showed lv 51. I told him, he seemed the least interested about what I was telling him, the jerk, anyway,,, there you have it, sometimes on a list or card it's shown as a higher level than they really are.

but if you look at the screen shots offered, its not only the game card that's doing it. it is also the level displayed on the name tag...

It's something my friend at school told me about. It's a cheat engine....
Basically you have to download a certain program that is used to activate certain cheats. It's a specific program though. My friend showed it to me but honestly I don't like the idea cause if you can lvl tht fast you wont have any fun. |

This is a bug. I had seen a Lv53 founder during one of those Ghost GM things.
Also, cheat engine users ( although are rude and dumb to speed the process of getting rep ) have nothing to do with this. To those of you who do reach Lv51, congratulations. I'd like to see someone at Lv100 ( It'll be impossible, don't you worry ).

leveling after 50
Hi, i'm "level 54" lol. I have NEVER used any cheat engines or glitches to level (besides that Esquago thing that happens every now and then where the enemy ships don't shoot back...). I actually hit level 51 on accident. It surprised the heck out of me when it happened. I was killing vets at kingshead working on the enemies defeated leaderboard and BAM i glowed! It is a glitch, kinda sorta... but it's not a hack or a cheat. I reported it to Disney, and i'm sure they are working hard to fix it... here's how it works....
After you hit level 50, when you defeat enemies, Notoriety points no longer show up, because 50 is "the max." BUT some rep DOES count, it just doesn't show up. Here's what i know so far: 1. the 25 notoriety that you get from enemies that give you valuables (like chess pieces or navy decorations) still counts. So if you defeated a few thousand enemies a day (like me ) you can level at a pretty quick rate.2. the rep from invasions still counts! this is the fastest way to get rep after 50. It's how i've done A LOT of my leveling. That's what i have so far. I hope that was helpful (sorry for the long-windedness of my response)Fair winds! |

Well I'm not going to push too hard - after seeing L41's and 42's get cut back to 40 a while back - I'd hate to intentionally work towards higher than 50 only to watch it get taken away with an update.
I'll work the other pirates once this one is 50, and continue to do so until they officially raise the bar

lvl 51
I seen someone with a lvl 51 and when I clicked on his character for info it said 50 on his card. How do you explain that?
Then I saw someone else who was lvl 40 with a basic membership. I figured they had had an unlimited membership in the past. I guess that is possible? |

It is not cheating.
One of my friends is a level 51, and the way you can become one is mastering notoriety first before weapons. Then, with invasions, he became level 51 because you still get reputation. Same thing with a guy who is level 64.
Merry Christmas!
