What are the odds of getting El Patron's Sword?

I had just signed on a few days ago, knowing their was new loot to get. I thought the Patron Sword was a gimme, and all had it. I join a crew at Darkhart (with Kat among others), started pounding away at him, I hit a major lag, and saw I had a different sword in my items, and it was the big prize.

So for me, it took maybe 30 minutes at most, when I first signed on, not long after the new weapons were out there.

The next day, in the morning, I was in a crew again with some Guild mates, and congrats to Blue, who got the prize. Then after grinding away for the rest of the day, probably 12 hours, there was no more Patron Swords, just assorted relics. Other than "luck of the draw" I have no clue as to what the pattern is, other than as stated, random.

I've been killing ever single thing that has the major possibility of having the Lost Sword of El Patron - no, not the Gravediggers on Port Royal - and have only gotten 7 accursed Lost Relics. I've killed Darkhart over 100 times, Timothy over 40, and the Thralls/Urchins in Tormenta over a 100 times - that's more than 240 kills of different things. Most of the time I've gotten worthless junk from Loot Skull Chests and a few Rare weapons from Loot Pouches - what is that - and stuff in between from Loot Chests. I think it may vary on levels. I've killed a tonload of Gravediggers on Port Royal with an amount of 0 Loot Containers, whereas my lower level characters have gotten some Loot Containers from those same Gravediggers. I'm going to try my luck with the Lv25 Pirate I have that has a Lv20 Cutlass and fight in a crew against Darkhart. If I get the El Patron's sword on that pirate I'm going to scream the paint off my computer screen and the walls off my house.

Im new here (but not new to the game) and do you have to be a certain level to get a lost relic weapon? I am currently level 28 and never seen a lost relic weapon or lost sword.

No it doesnt matter what level you are but it just matters that your a higher enough level to be able to use it im LvL 37 and i dont have a relic or El Patron's sword (My luck eh?)

My assesment is that it is character driven someway. My Main has whacked darkhart over 2000 times since this update. Ive seen the sword go out at least 5 times....but do you know who gets it....

Heres the scenario: You have been at darkhart over 8 hours straight nothing but kill kill kill. You have a maxxed crew. One of the groups friends tps to the group and 10 minutes later gets the el patron sword...

I met two new players,,,one basic,, who showed me they had it...turned ghosty...,,they had never found a relic before...I carry three on me and have sold three..and lots of good rares...if its kinda like a dole em out in a balanced way thing...then I'll never get it...lol,,,and I'm not parting with me booty...as the blues kinda harder to find now too...but if I did find it...i'd trash a nade pouch in a heartbeat

How did the Basic player you met manage to show you they had El Patron's Sword?
