Do I have one? No. Do I want one? No. If I get one will I keep it? Yes. I keep all my famed weapons. Almost all of which I find highly overrated.
I happen to have 6 famed weapons on my most used pirate. A sea charm, 2 swords, 2 bayonets and 1 blunderbuss. How many do I use? Three. I use my Lucky Charm sea charm, my Bloodfire Cutlass, and my Masterwork Broadsword. But only against Darkhart. For normal enemies I much prefer lower attack weapons. Case in point? I have 3 famed shooting weapons I never use. I have a few rare shooting weapons I use once in a blue moon. What's my pistol of choice? A common Wicked Repeater, or sometimes the rare Dread Repeater. I simply prefer to get the better rep the common or even crude weapons give. |

I have it. I voted yes its over rated. I'd gladly trade it for a certain famed broadsword or Sabre. I hope we can trade someday. I would rather my son have it, or someone who can't live without it then I.

If I got El Patrons Sword, I'd keep it in my Arsenal, and wait until I can break it to pieces or something. That was I could make my own blade or something. I use a Witch Hunter Broadsword during invasions, and my Masterwork Broadsword for other times. This is my weapons personality, and I prefer a broadsword with some type of advantage like a chance for more damage, or a blade that can damage my enemies voodoo powers. During Invasions I like to use my Hex Stopper Musket to pick off Jolly from a distance and resist his chain effect. While outside of invasions I enjoy to use my Bush Master Pistol. Don't care for dolls, since you have to attune enemies, and that is pretty much auto aiming(which I hate most of anything in all of gaming kind). Daggers, I keep the normal dagger for training, and use the War Dagger when I use my Dagger after mastering. Grenades... I level them, the end. Then we get to the staves, which I do not bother to buy, seeing as they all have somewhat limited effects, and all feel the same. Out on the Sea I use all War Ships. This is what I look for in my game, and what I use when in battle and at Sea. I would not trade these for El Patrons Sword, or use it over any of them. |

I think it's definately overrated. It's actually not that useful in battle, it's only cool.
The drain voodoo skill is not very great, since voodoo enemies are often very easy for most people who are high level enough to obtain the sword. Except Jolly Roger, but before you can drain all his voodoo you would be dead already since he can knock any pirate out in 1-2 attacks. Also the sweep boost is not very good, since sweep is weak already, +3 won't make it any stronger, if it was bladestorm or thrust boost it would be great. Also the patron sword should have at least 90 attack, since full moon special blunderbuss already have 88 attack, which is higher then the 84 attack the patron sword has, and seven seas has 80 attack, which is 4 less then patron, but 4 attack won't even make a little difference in damage, would it? |
