As of 2/25/2009, the Players tab works now. It does indeed show DxD friends. And now, there is a second "Friends" button on the player card just for this. So even though DxD has forever been broken for me (never able to friend someone there, despite various attempts) it now works seamlessly, in-game.

I'm still not sure I am entirely clear on how this works. Today, Zeke's "player" asked to be my friend. Um.... ok? Then someone else friended me a bit later, then their "player" friended me. I do not "do" DxD so perhaps that is the source of my confusion. I see no benefit whatsoever in friending someone's "player" when I can just friend their pirate, because as far as the game is concerned, they are the exact same thing.

So if I know you and you have three pirates you want me to friend - by using the 2nd friend button I get one entry for all your pirates (so no matter which one you long in with - it shows up in the list). |

Still not sure I understand exactly how it works, but I guess I will after I actually mess with it a bit. Do you have to do anything with DxD (in other words, do anything other than just play the game) in order for it to work for you? And thanks!

One of the things I dont like much about DxD is once someones a friend in one game, they are friend in all of them. Perhaps a plus to some, and I do see some convenience. I can also see some inconvenience. Pirates often create additional pirates for some quiet time, and DxD leads everyone right to them! Most of my DxD friends came from another disney game when I friended them in that game.

Zeppers, if your on a linked account then switch over to you main, you won't have to deal with XD friends as long as your linked account doesn't have any.
So pretty much, you friend someone off of XD on account one, when you log on account two, in order for it to show you must friend them again. That is... if thats what you were saying, lol |

So - for a few friends who you want to see playing all your pirates - 2nd button is a cool choice... otherwise just use the 1st friend button

Within a week of them doubling the size of the friends list, mine was full again. Every pirate I help, wants to be friends with The Edward. So far, the DxD list has been a excellent way to cut down on my friends list size, by keeping only pirates I routinely play with, on the DxD list.
Logging in with a linked account pirate, has all my logged-in DxD friends appear in yellow on my regular friends list. From what I understand of it, other Disney games will also show these same people as friends in other games. Unfortunately, it doesn't work at all on TEST. So keeping a separate list on a piece of paper here, remains the only way for me to keep track of when I last saw someone. I'm not sure Zepper's concern for privacy, is any issue for me. People that annoy me, don't stay on my friends list, let alone my DxD list. But having the ability to communicate when I'm on another pirate, is a wonderful convenience. That convenience far outweighs the "quiet-time" concern. |

Really you don't have a secret pirate anyways, if its on the same account. To have secret pirates you need a different account. DXD always had the option to look up other pirates, once there all pirates of that player can be looked at.
So its just a matter of if anyone bothered to go to that extent to look. |

But then, the social aspect of the game is one of its finer selling points. If you really need to be alone much of the time, don't use the players list. For my pirates, it is a wonderful feature. |

Ed, please read my post rather then reading in to it.
I'm not talking about a double secret undercover pirate. Who knows you have a pirate is of no importance. Who knows you are online is the issue. No unlinked account is needed. As Maximus pointed out, just don't use the "Player" page. I didn't say anything negative about the "Player" feature in fact I like it, as long as the regular friends option is available. |
