Again today, someone asked me how I level up so quick. I wish I could cut-n-paste this URL, in-game.

Great training for level 28-(33?)
Depending on how you have the skill points used (i have 4 skills on every first strike of a combo, which still hits low resulting in good rep if you keep mistiming, except poke and swarm, both should have only 1) and if you're doing your pirate the way I am (no questing outside of the weapons quests until you have maxed weapons, and start black pearl after) tormenta can give you amazing results.
Find a level 35-38 molusk Use hexeater, and knock down 1/4 of its health with regular pistol shots, DO NOT CHARGE SHOTS. Pull out the doll, attune (of course, lol), depending on your doll level (mine is 17, almost 18 atm on that pirate) if it is lower than 17, i suggest this: Use curse everytime it charges back up, even if the molusk is still cursed. If you are 10 doll-13 doll, you can alternate between poke and swarm, but remember, the more curses (the spell it self) you use, the better rep than just using curse regularly like when you let it wear off your enemy and reuse it. If level 14-16, use poke and nothing else, besides curse, remember to use the curse spell as often as possible. If 15-16: Do not use swarm, only poke, and use curse the same way as stated above. If 17+: Stick with the poke spell only, not using curse. Use the grave chain (whatever its called, lol) often as possible. The curse spell is acceptable to use if the molusk is about to fall down to another fourth of health. If you've done it in the order i have so far, the molusk should be 1/2 health by now! (shows the energy as being yellow) Now, it doesn't really matter which weapon you use next or not. Lets just say it is the dagger: Mistime strikes only (basically just keep click the attack button, not intending to do any combos, just using first strike over and over). Also, use throw dirt as often as possible (i have 3 skill points on it, but that doesn't matter, and long as you use it often as possible) and just keep repeating the first strikes. After this, the molusk should have 1/4 health! (energy shown as red) Next, the sword: Do the same thing, just keep using the first strike. If you have brawl and taunt, use them as often as possible, repeating with the first strikes. And voila, this results in a dead high level, with high rep for all weapons, and extremely high rep for notoriety! I started trying this yesterday, and it was resulting in getting rep anywhere from 230 rep- 448 rep per molusk, and getting close to 100+ rep for each weapon, depending on if the molusk is level 35-38 (i also had a 20% crew bonus). The 448 rep is a new personal record from a single enemy for me. Before that it was 240, and it was from a ship. Who knows, you may get higher rep guys, either, I guarentee you will be happy with the results =) If the molusk is level 34, I suggest just splitting it between 2 weapons, the notoriety won't be as high, but you still get good rep for the two weapons you used. I also suggest this for level 30+ pirates on level 35 molusks. I hope this helps you guys! Thanks for reading, and stay Lighthearted -James |

This sounds an awful lot like http://www.piratesonlineforums.com/f...ead.php?t=6926 to me. Great minds think alike, apparently.

The voodoo doll section needs an update.
Not sure how long it has been this way, but healers no longer get ANY rep, unless they attune the enemy AND attack it (e.g. poke or swarm or curse) before switching to another weapon. If you attack during the same attunement, then the heals you do to your wounded allies will then count towards your rep. But if you only heal your allies when they are wounded, you get 0 reputation for doll...even if you switch weapons and attack with, say, cutlass sweep. No clue what Disney was thinking on that change. Teamwork is supposed to be the backbone of the game...this completely stymies almost all teamwork strategies. |

Wow! Thanks for putting this up here! I think I might have to read it more than once and try in game a few times to fully understand it, but wow! This is gonna help a lot with my two pirates who are just now level 10 and starting the dagger quest. Thanks!

This was the biggest help for me when I was mastering all my weapons. This guide and General Darkheart did the trick!

This is an excellent guide, helps if nothing more to explain the mechanics of the game, and how rep is calculated.
Noted this comment now from a few months ago. This is no longer the case, and must have been a temporary oversight on POTCOs part, as I get rep for healing all the time now as we always had before. |

Well after the recent updates to POTCO , I noticed this rep guide hasn't been working.
I was in the catacombs grenading a yellow raider and killed him with 2 explosives , expecting tp get 7 rep , but instead I got 17 rep? Some reason for this? I didn't have a double rep award just regular fighting. |
