How totally odd...I personally have never witnessed anyone doing so-called abusing of this emote but I'm sure people can think up creative things. Beyond me as to what they would be, but interesting that the emote is being abused enough to be taken away.
Never realized there were two different stances, Crim. Thanks for pointing that out... |

Oh, when it was explained to me and seeing that there was in fact two stances I was assuming they were just taking out the regular "flips a coin" rather than both. Well, like the tides, apparently we all have to adapt to Disney's unorthodox approach to handling its players..

Ok guys, this is a really, really desperate hope, but maaaybe, just maybe, this would work. We could try mass emailing Disney, telling them to keep the coin emote. I mean, it's desperate, yes, but its worth a try isn't it? Maybe while we're at it we can have them put /kneel back in too?

First, how is it getting abused? And second, I think we should ask Live Chat dudes about the sudden bans and knock outs.. If it isn't realated to a glitch we would just say we thought it was one...

I agree with Davy, we're all - well most of us - are paying $10 a month to have the features we enjoy being taken away because of a few people. They should be fixing these things rather than deleting them, our subscription is their paycheck

Just gave them a long email... it sounded kinda ranty, which I didn't like, but anyway, I hope that it will make them reconsider. Guys, here's a tip. Don't just tell them "Removing the coin flipping emote will make some players upset." Make sure that you connect it to them, and say why thats bad for them. For example, instead of saying what I said before, say something like this. "If you remove the coin flipping emote, some players may get very mad about this, and some may even leave the game. Many of these people would be your paying customers. If you let them leave, you will be losing money, which is bad for you. If you keep this emote, you can keep your customers."
Really, if you bring that in, it should nail them. |

We should also tell them about personal space and kneel, kneel was fun while it lasted, kinda like a bow type of thing. If we say that they should bring back personal space, we should say how it could fix the whole coin flip problem.

Only thing I can comment about Disney's irrationality in handling this situation is this: JOB SECURITY.
Instead of wasting your time banning immature brats (and even banning innocent players, all because of your misguided arrogance) who can't respect the establishment of decency on the game, it would best BEHOOVE (benefit) you [Disney] if you paid more attention to the players who actually have some sense, respect your rules, and PAY YOU to make the game better... We don't pay you to sit at a computer chair waiting to ban the next person you see flipping a coin on Abassa, nor do we pay you to remove cherished features like the flipping the coin emote all because a few idiots can't get over themselves. We pay you to make the game better, not worse/annoying, so starting doing something that actually promotes PROGRESS for the game, NOT REGRESS. |

Well...
Well... I talked to Live Chat about this and this is what they said to me:
Hamed: Greetings, how are you doing today Matey? Me: Hi, I'm a bit upset at the game right now. How about yourself??? Hamed: I am doing great actually! Thank you for asking. I understand you are upset regarding the Coin toss emote? Me: Yes you guys removed it. Hamed: I am sorry you feel that way. I will be happy to pass you point of view along to our product team for you. In the future you are also able to submit your suggestions directly to them via an email to [email protected]. Hamed: Is there anything else I can help you with today? Me: No mate you don't seem to be seeing my point, you guys have upset the entire game, but removing the flip a coin animation. Not only are you taking away people's favorite emote but players are paying $10 a month or more and you guys take it away? Hamed: I will pass your feedback along. However this was done for a reason to avoid any sort of abuse of the emote and for the safety of our younger pirates in the game. Hamed: You are more than welcome to voice your dismay about this matter via an email to the address I have provided for you. Hamed: If there is no other issue you need help with I will end this chat now. Me: No one i know is abusing the emote mate. Also people were probably doing that because you guys let players go threw other players -.- Hamed: I thank you again for sharing your point of view with us and for visiting me in Live Chat. Me: -_- Hamed: You have a great day and smooth sailing to you. |

That guy really didn't want to talk about it. James, I really wouldn't be surprised if you were the 100th person that guy had to deal with that day regarding the incident. I had no better luck with my email I sent them. They seem to be avoiding an actual answer... Below is the email I sent. After that I will post the reply. Sorry for the messy looking email. I really don't want to have to format it.
Hello POTCO team. I am emailing concerning > something that you are getting rid of in this game.
