Well, yes, Darkheart is a glitch. You can see he means to attack with cutlass, but doesn't/can't.
Are green-people healers a glitch? Without any associated time before you can do it again, I'm inclined to say that it is a glitch. If it had a recharge time similar to tonics, then maybe. Also, the fact that most people don't know its there (because you can't get healing when at full health, so it doesn't even give you that menu) means that it is a sly trick only for those in-the-know.
I'm not too concerned about grenades not having a free ammo type. The game progresses and gets more complicated/harder as you go. Having an entire weapon class that requires you to be social, is a good thing. Having reputation being so subtractive when you have cooperation, ironically, hamstrings the game.
Well, anyhow, FWIW, I never used hex-eater on the veterans at Kingshead. :-)
