We really do try to get as much info about a person as possible even before we think about making them a mod. Being a mod is a lot of hard work and can be quite a stressful situation at times. Since we hold our moderation staff to a higher standards than even our forum members, the smallest thing can knock a person out of the running to become a mod.

the mod selection system they have in place makes the best of the best mods and keeps the corrupt dictators away (well except EKB but he is an exception)
