We do look for correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation. It helps if users are able to understand your posts. We like to look for people that are helpful on the forums, have a good understanding of the game, and seem to be friendly. We do try to look for adults first as they have more experience dealing with people but we do have some exceptional teen mods on a few of our sites. If you have a history of violating our policies, you'll most likely be turned down. We need people that are able to follow and uphold our policies. It can be hard to try to tell who is a hard worker from just reading posts on the forums but that's a plus. Everyone that is a mod, volunteers a lot of time dedicated to keeping these forums safe and running smoothly.
We really do try to get as much info about a person as possible even before we think about making them a mod. Being a mod is a lot of hard work and can be quite a stressful situation at times. Since we hold our moderation staff to a higher standards than even our forum members, the smallest thing can knock a person out of the running to become a mod.
