And people wonder why I refuse to SvS or PvP...........
But on the other hand I feel NOT posting the glitch is shooting yourself in the foot. If you don't use it great. However, I feel EVERYONE should know how to do it who does SvS and PVP. Just for the fact it can be used aginst those uho use it to cheat. PS I don't know it nor do I give a rat's but to learn it. Like I said I REFUSE to SvS...... |

there is a worse glitch becasue i have fought a war sloop and it had 4 cannons firing continues fury and it did not stop even when people on my side ran out it just kept coming and coming i mean we sunk very quickly even tho the fury aims were bad... and their life never seems to go down...

POTCO Fan, That particular glitch is the "skeleton" glitch. Before when you were in it you appeared as undead. You also have unlimited ammo while in it. Now you appear normal with the unlimited ammo.
It is common for the little creatons to combine the unlimited ammo glitch with the others in SvS. Just one more thing where disney screwed the pooch when they tried to fix something. Sorry to hear about your expierence wiyh it. PLEASE report the glitches with screencaps when you can. Hopefully if enough people gripe about it they will actually do something worth a **** in the game. |

Yeap it's gotten around pretty quickly about the triple explosive/lightning cannon glitch and hopefully with the reports it should be fixed. I haven't heard anything more about the constant open fire thing though, and haven't seen the girl who claimed she could do it since either

This seems to be about a month old but I know for certain disney fixed the triple lightning explosive and grape glitch and as a result they made reloading times a little longer for when you initially grab a cannon before you can fire even if max rate and reload is used.
Don't know about the skellie glitch where you got unlimited ammo but have seen ships firing fury non stop in almost continuous lines. Learned recently how to hide a light sloop or sloop in the rocks between French and Spanish isles and only so that occasionally I can go inside and kill those cowards when bored. The good news is that once inside those ships can only hit targets about 3 feet beyond the rock wall and ships outside the rock can now fire inside. (kudos Disney for fixing this problem) they did not fix being able to do it only they made it so that only stupid people will do it as it is a death sentence. There is also supposed to be a glitch where people hide inside kings head or port royal during privateering. I manged it once in port royal by accident and once inside when I tried to let go of the helm I lost internet connection. |

does that also explain the war sloops going on a like 100 ships sunk streak and are only scratched by then???

A captain cannot know if there is cheating going on, on his boat. A captain can surmise cheating, when one of his gunners sinks an enemy ship with a one-hit-wonder shot. But rarely, can a captain even see that a crew member just shot one-of-each-type with a single mouse click. But a captain can surmise that when they sink 10 ships in a row and all of those ships disappear, that someone on board is crashing them out. Are your enemy's ships always stuck a minute or two at their base, before logging out (with the entire crew flying in space?)
Even if it is only close game-friends or guild-friends on board, the captain cannot know what they are up to. The dramatic increase of "blinking" in December certainly can't all be server lag. But yes, hitting them repeatedly as they are stationary, starting their blink, often is effective (but only if you finish the job before they blink a compass width - or two - away.) If it really is "server lag" caused by my ship coming in proximity of an enemy ship that has one person on board with a slow connection, (which I doubt) then Disney needs to tweak its thresholds a bit more. A lot more. My cable connection rarely shows noticeable internet traffic, when playing POTCO...max is something like 0.25%, IIRC. Yet I see blinkers on abassa every time I'm in SvS now. |

people "resort" to these glitches because they are there. its an opportunity, not something to be ashamed of, its just getting the best of the game...

its not making the best of the game, it is CHEATING, and it takes the fun out of the game for most players.

doing this isnt cheating at all. it is used by people who really need it i guess.
